David Tubb's
hallmark work on our sport is going in for an
update. Right now we're anticipating keeping what's
there that we want, updating that material, and
then adding and expanding the work with new
material.
Anyone who's
read Highpower Rifle had to have gotten the
impression that what David is doing now is only his
current collection of techniques, tactics, and
equipment assessed as what is working best. These
things are rarely unchangable because David is
always getting better! So is his equipment and his
approach to shooting across the course, and so,
too, will be his book.
Although the
original book is chocked full of outstanding
material, none of which is in the least way
"dated," deal is that David has changed a lot of
things for himself in the years since its
publication. He's also won a couple more Camp Perry
championships, used three different rifles
(including an SR-25) and two different cartridges,
and gained a lot more experience in other shooting
venues. Obviously, he's got some more to say. The
new book will contain much more on equipment
without shorting the true focus of the book, which
is learning to shoot a higher score.
In short,
Highpower Rifle got better and bigger!
