It may not be possible to judge a book by its cover, but it is possible to judge the cover. Likewise, a few pages from it doesn't tell all there is, but gives a pretty good start on seeing how it looks as presented.

c I know it's what's in the words that matters, but I'm really happy with the appearance of Slings & Things. There are a lot of very good photos, run large and full of detail. That's they way they should be run. In keeping with the other books I do, S&T has a whopping lot to read in photo captions and stand-alone text boxes. I want anyone and everyone to open this book to any two pages and see something they can stop and learn from, and they can.
